Tomi Farr joined the Silverman Law team in June 2017 as an Associate Attorney. She earned her undergraduate degree at ASU and her Juris Doctor Degree at California Western School of Law. She worked as an attorney for MacPherson and McCarville, a tax/bankruptcy law firm from 1991 – 1993. Next, she was a Sole Practitioner in Bankruptcy and Tax matters from 1995 – 2001. She then practiced Estate Planning law from 2001 – 2005. Tomi has also worked for a small real estate/billboard company since 2005.
When Tomi Farr was in law school, she focused her education on Estate Planning and Gift Tax. When she graduated, she was offered a position with a Bankruptcy/Tax firm and was afraid to pass up a “paying job.” After several years in the bankruptcy field, she decided to shift back to what she always loved – Estate Planning. She was drawn away again when her family needed help with the family business holdings. After 12 years of working with her family, she was once again drawn back to Estate Planning and has found her home at Silverman Law Offices.
Tomi really loves working with people and making them comfortable with the estate planning process. It is such an unknown area for most people yet it is something that we all need to plan for. It’s not an easy process, so she enjoys making people understand their choices and how a well-designed plan can put them at ease.
Tomi has three children and loves spending time with them: Austin 23, Blake 21, and Alicia 19. She also enjoys reading and traveling anywhere.
